About Learn to Line Dance with Richard
The YouTube channel was originally launched to support a small group of work colleagues who was I was teaching line dancing to in a 45 minute weekly session during lunch break. 45 minutes just wasn't enough time so the original YouTube videos allowed them to practice at home.
​
At the time the pandemic hit, I had a few hundred subscribers and of course I had all the time in the world to record, edit and build the channel. Coming out of the third lockdown I think I had around 4,000 subscribers.
​
The channel has continued to grow even though I had three years of not adding videos.
​
As September 2025 we have 13,300 subscribers, 1200+ videos, averaging a massive 85,700 monthly views and a
mind-blowing 258,000 minutes viewed per month. I get great comments and feedback from around the globe. I am truly humbled and so so thankful to each and everyone of you that watch my videos.
​
With all the success and great feedback with our YouTube Channel plus lots and lots of requests for Improver dances, I launched our Membership in November 2023 with 36 Founding Members who put their trust in me and joined me on this journey. The membership has continued to grow each time I open the doors. I am truly grateful to all of my members who allow me to make content and do what I love.
